Chemical Resistance Self Adhesive EPDM Foam Seal For Sealing Doors And Windows
Surface treatments on EPDM foam can significantly improve its adhesion, waterproofness, and aesthetics.
1.Untreated surfaces: Typically used for applications requiring less stringent surface requirements, such as sealing gaskets and shock absorbers within electronic equipment. Untreated surfaces offer lower costs, but adhesion and waterproofness do vary.
Adhesive-backed foam: Adhesive is applied to the back of the foam for easy attachment to the surface of the device. Adhesive-backed EPDM foam can eliminate the need for sealing the bezel or display of electronic equipment, simplifying the installation process and improving production efficiency.
2.Coating: Special coatings (such as waterproof or conductive coatings) are applied to the foam surface to enhance its waterproofness or conductivity. Coated EPDM foam is suitable for applications requiring high waterproofness or electromagnetic shielding, such as outdoor electronic device seals and electromagnetic shielding gaskets.
